TL has been overall low energy and cringe since the election. Both candidates were trash, so as dissidents, we never really had a dog in the fight. Internal disagreement over messaging and strategy is expected. However, the divisiveness we're seeing rn is not stemming from that.
@cashmoneyglock has harbored a grudge against Ricky Vaughn, Andrew Anglin, Weev, and TRS ever since they instigated the incredibly damaging and contrived
op that was the 2017-2018 Optics War, wherein said people conspired with others to blackball 'WigNats' from the Alt-Right.

The 5% meme is @cashmoneyglock's attempt to enact revenge for the Optics War by engineering another optics war of his own design, aiming to blackball Trump-leaning people from the DR and projecting his animus for Ricky Vaughn et al onto all of them.
I've expressed doubts over the utility of the 5% meme before. Why buy into the partisan dichotomy just for the sake of owning the reactionaries? Why declare yourself a voter demographic seeking placation by the mainstream parties when we know our demands will never be met?
Some have taken the 5% meme on good faith while they bask in the meltdown the MAGApedes are currently having. It's harmless fun. I've been enjoying the meltdowns too. The narrative is also demonstrably accurate: white men, not election fraud, cost Trump the election.
Behind the scenes, however, @cashmoneyglock wants people to toe a very specific line, one which involves the same kinds of contrived divisiveness we saw in the Optics War, including slandering and lying about other people in order to justify and expedite their blackballing.
ex: @cashmoneyglock insists he never called for MAGA accounts to be reported for spreading fake news about election fraud. He says this is a lie made up by @almightygenie and has convinced himself that Genie is a 'GOP asset' just as he believes Ricky Vaughn was.
Well...
Well...
I’ve now seen @cashmoneyglock blackball from his circle of influence three different people who either refused to toe the line on this specific lie of his, or simply wanted an easing away from the divisiveness. It seems you're either with the
op, or the
op is against you.

TL;DR: 5% is a
op started by a sperg obsessed with revenge for the 2017 Optics War.
