What is Tech Twitter?

If you watch talks on Youtube you'll quickly find that lots of people in the tech space spend time (too much?) on Twitter but what IS tech twitter?

It's a couple different things

It's people, of course, at its core. It's me and you having a conversation. If you're interested in a particular technology, go to your favorite search engine and hit

"top [TECHNOLOGY] follow on twitter"

and you'll find a bunch of listicles on who to follow about that tech.

There are also hashtags! You can find people conversing on any of these hashtags

#CodeNewbies
#devcommunity

Actually there are tons of hashtags that are "100 Days of" so check the list out for things you're interested in.

Around underrepresented groups in tech

But most of all there are conversations that happen at a specific date and time, where ppl use a specific hashtag.
