Here’s a rant/thread no one asked for.
The problem with dating is that we are all trained to not just say what we are thinking or feeling because if we are “too much” then we have to worry about scaring someone off. And like. It’s bullshit.

Like if the entire point is to establish a connection with another person why is it such a bad thing to actually express that? Why should I feel obligated to diminish my own thoughts and feelings?
It is practically impossible to be the most honest version of yourself because God forbid you feel things or have intentions. Or oh no, not ~communication.~
Just once, I would LOVE to just be able to say “hey, this is what I’m looking for out of this.” And have the other person do the same thing without there being a fear of coming across too strong.
Can we not all just agree to stop wasting each others time and playing this stupid game where we have to try and attempt to guess what the other person is thinking or feeling and trying to match that energy. Can’t we all just be f*cking adults?
I don’t even want a serious relationship right now, I’m just so sick of playing this game.
