We have a lot going on here @DowntownRaleigh so I am going to thread all the work we have going this week and have some resources to help support our businesses through the holidays.
First off, tonight @ABC11_WTVD airs the Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting ceremony, which we filmed without a crowd this year, but still features local musicians and start to holiday season. We also installed over 60 snowflakes along Fayetteville St.
This week we were excited to bring Triangle Pop-Up's holiday store to 15 W. Hargett St. as part of programming storefronts with pop-up retail for holiday season. Activates downtown + gives small makers/retailers a chance to expand their sales. Stay tuned for more coming soon, too
Speaking of retail, we launched our Holiday Hub, which includes a gift guide, list of all restaurants offering Thanksgiving meals, and our Online Retail Store with links to every downtown retail online store to make supporting downtown easy. https://downtownraleigh.org/holiday-hub
Just want to note that this is last day for some restaurants taking orders for Thanksgiving meals/sides, so go to our link here for available options: https://downtownraleigh.org/post/thanksgiving-dinner-guide-for-downtown-raleigh
Particularly proud of our Online Retail Store for easily finding all downtown retailers in one space to make it easy to shop from home and support these stores that need your help. https://downtownraleigh.org/holiday-hub/gift-guide
We are also proud to launch Round 2 of the @DukeEnergy Storefront Revitalization Grant today which helped 63 businesses with over $288,000 in the first round. This helps fund outdoor dining, heaters, online websites, takeout windows and other pivots. https://downtownraleigh.org/do-business/incentives-and-business-resources/duke-energy-storefront-revitalization-grant
Here @DowntownRaleigh we were proud to support @OaksAndSpokes wonderful promotion of businesses along the N/S Greenway Connector with gift cards to our downtown businesses.
Also, @DowntownRaleigh we are very excited to support Black Flea Market coming to @RalUnionStation Plaza this Sunday from 2pm-6pm. Public safety protocols will be followed with masks required, sanitation stations and attendee flow controlled.
Coming up: we have more @DukeEnergy Storefront Revitalization Grants, more Dine Out Downtown, additional retail promotion launching, Small Business Saturday, + will soon be announcing light/projection art walk for December that activates more storefronts. Stay tuned, y'all
