WARRIORS OFFSEASON THREAD:
What I believe the Warriors must do this offseason to compete for a title

Let's start out with Klay:
Losing him was a big blow to this team. You're gonna have to replace his shooting and defense with personnel. Also losing his character is gonna hurt a lot.

The Warriors acquired both Kelly Oubre and Andrew Wiggins to add to the wing depth and defense, however, this is only the start to that, not the end to it

The Warriors acquired James Wiseman and Nico Mannion through the draft. Wiseman will play a key role for this team on Day 1. He will have to step up big time. Nico can give them a spark off the bench

Alright, now for who I believe they should acquire in FA.
The first players I'm starting out with are Kris Dunn and Avery Bradley. Guys who can defend other guys are now much more valuable with Klay set to miss the who season

They will need to add 3 and D to replace what was lost with Klay. You can get sort of close to replacing him defensively, however, the shooting isn't as easy. You can replace the amount of 3s he makes, but you can't replace the gravity or game planning ability

Guys such as Justin Holiday, Glenn Robinson III, and Wesley Iwundu are nice 3 and D SG options to look at. Kent Bazemore is a failsafe

Now for the DPE. You can choose to go with Justin Holiday if you want. Or you can go another route like PJ Tucker to complement Robinson and/or Iwundu. Tough, experienced, and brings that 3 and D ability with an edge to his game

You could also get a little funky with it and try and add a Lou Will or DRose for a scoring punch off the bench

You need to add wing defense too. Wiggins and Oubre are the start of it, but not the end of it. Guys like Josh Jackson, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Maurice Harkless, and Andre Roberson are all options. I prefer Jackson

The Warriors may also look to move Kevon Looney and cut Alen Smailagic. To both open up roster space and reduce the tax bill somewhat

Imo, keep Kevon and see how he does. If his health doesn't hold up, you may have to look into moving him

The Warriors are looking to also add another big. This makes sense if they moved on from Loon and Smiley. A stretch big would make the most sense for this team. Guys like Jeff Green, Robin Lopez, Meyers Leonard, and Frank Kaminsky are cheap options

Here's what my roster looks like for next season

Filling the depth and adding good fits are key to this Warriors team succeeding. Winning without Klay is difficult, but when you have Steph, you always have a chance.
