i’ll begin w Barter 6, the Thug project that ranges from trap classics (Check, With That), to melodic R&B (Amazing, Just Might Be.) His true breakout mixtape, you’ll be gripped immediately by his large vocal range, and laugh out loud at some of his most creative lyrics.

thug followed the success of Barter 6 with I’m Up (previously mentioned), and the excellent Slime Season 3. loaded with bangers, thug goes 8 for 8 on this 30 minute project, scoring big w hits such as “Digits”, “Memo”, and “With Them.”

Thugger dropped again in 2016, this one garnering the most attention. another reinvention of himself, Thug returns w a mixtape that showcases his weirdness: he wears a dress on the cover, and every song title is an idol of his. titled Jeffrey, he succeeds again.
Jeffrey is loaded w notable features, including the Migos, Travis Scott, Gunna and Gucci Mane. a huge success, Wyclef Jean and Guwop are tremendous trap songs, both catchy and innovative.

just when it appeared thug couldn’t possibly revolutionize trap anymore... he releases Beautiful Thugger Girls in 2017. this project has something for absolutely everyone, dabbling in R&B and country, while showcasing his tremendous singing voice.

it would be remiss of me to discuss Thug’s brilliance and not mention his influence. much of today’s mainstream trap scene can be attributed to Thug’s sound, and he has personally put on some of the other biggest names in rap right now, such as Lil Baby and Gunna.
overall, Young Thug has established himself as a tremendous artist, with a lengthy, unique discography to back it up. I didn’t even discuss his extensive feature list (he’s never missed), and two of his other popular EPs, On the Run and Young Martha.
