ppl expecting a fully animated and rendered rig from a team that had a short amount of time to throw together a video that was explicitly told to us is an idea of what they wanted to make but couldn’t make it so they’re giving us what they can
with more money and time, we’ll probably get actual produced videos. and unpopular opinion, the evelynn one wasn’t that good. it’s a stim board with some very clever, easy animation doused in shadow, and everything looks better when you can hardly see it.
i’ll stop being salty on main. idk, i don’t know everything about production, especially 3D animation, but i know enough. concept videos are like the rough outline sketch of an art piece. they want 1. a feeling/vibe, 2. the main meat of their story boarding 3. to gauge interest—
—for the full thing. they’re releasing a few revisions after the sketch, but it’s still a sketch with maybe some completed line work on it.
so throw more money at them, stream k/da more, and i’ll see you next year for some new music videos.
