For Thanksgiving, I want to focus on the things for which I am truly grateful: a #GiveThanks thread. I am grateful for my Mom and Dad, who loved God and our country and raised me to do the same. I'm grateful to my grandparents, brilliant and hardworking. I miss you all. /1
I'm grateful for my husband, truly the best man I know. You're not supposed to say someone is perfect, but he really is. Perfect for me, at least. I adore him more every day. #GiveThanks /2

I'm grateful my parents taught me to work for what I want, who gave me my work ethic and problem-solving abilities; Grandma Hilda, who taught me by example success comes from persistence; and Grandpa, who taught me how to overcome with stoicism and grit. #GiveThanks /4
I'm grateful for my education, both in and out of school, and for all the jobs I had, even the ones that sucked the most. Those crappy jobs taught me more about dealing with people, adversity, how to fight for what I know is right, and how to stand up for myself. #GiveThanks /5
I'm grateful for the good jobs...and great bosses... that I've had. Those bosses are true examples of leadership and integrity: Caron Schwahn, Marta Hall, Juan Garza (current). Thank you all. And Juan, you're absolutely amazing. #GiveThanks /6
I'm grateful for my country, for the Founding Fathers who had the wisdom and prescience to establish the Constitution to protect our country, and for every soldier in every military who has served, fought, and defended her. You, like my daddy, are all heroes. #GiveThanks /7
I am grateful for my parents who gave me the love of reading, of learning, and of questioning, who were always willing to answer my questions, and lead me to the library to seek deeper answers. That foundation of researching has served me very well. #GiveThanks /8
I'm grateful for being raised as a "free range" kid in an era where we could play and live without fear of everything from strangers to drinking out of a garden hose to lawn darts that had pointy edges. Life was so much better without all the promotion of fear. #GiveThanks /9
I'm grateful for my ability to work, even on the most painful days, and to be able to support myself. I'm grateful for my husband, who does the same. Together, we've avoided debt, lived within our means, and have a wonderful life. #GiveThanks /10
I'm grateful for parents and church leaders who taught me to love my Father in Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm grateful for their guidance, which continues to keep me out of serious trouble. Living with integrity and the love of others is key to peace. #GiveThanks /11
I'm grateful for a testimony of my Heavenly Father and Savior, a testimony that was proven through questioning and adversity. I know my Father lives and love me. I know my Elder Brother lives and loves me too. #GiveThanks /12
I'm grateful for the ability to see and recognize miracles -- large and small -- in my life; to have, time and again, had the Lord manifest his love and care for everyone in ways that prove without doubt that God and Jesus are real and that families are forever. #GiveThanks /13
I'm grateful the testimonies of others, from prophets in scripture to people today, who both affirm and confirm my own testimony. I'm grateful for the scriptures: the Bible and the Book of Mormon, that testify of my Savior. #GiveThanks /14
I'm grateful for so many friends and family who have loved, prayed, and supported me throughout my battle with cancer this year, both in person and online. I'm grateful to report my Sept. PET scan showed no evidence of disease, anywhere. Thank you for your prayer! #GiveThanks /15

I'm grateful I was born in the Battle Born state. I'm grateful the Lord guided our family to the Lone Star State. And I'm especially grateful to have discovered my birth family. My paternal family comes from Texas, y'all, which makes me so grateful. #GiveThanks /21
