At Arsenal football club, nobody is accountable for anything.

A very detailed thread explaining the damaging hypocrisy of our fanbase

The truth stings
I’ll be going over why this fanbase complains about/blames so many different things surrounding the club, without actually blaming anyone at all. And why this will be responsible for a long term decline at Arsenal unless drastic change happens.
What you need to understand is that anytime the Cultbase ‘blame’ something i.e board/owner/players etc, they’re simply using that ‘blame’ to cover up for something else, but their hypocrisy is really easy to expose, let’s have a look
1.) If we lose 3-0 to Villa at home, the players get ‘blamed’, the players get ‘blamed’ because you can’t blame Arteta. But two weeks later we’re now being told that Kroenke invested well into the team. So the players got blamed but our team is supposedly well-invested in..
So what’s actually happened is that neither the players or Arteta or Kroenke get any blame. I hope you see how that works.

“Oh but Lacazette and Willian get blame”
Okay, let’s look at that.
2.) Lacazette and Willian do get blame for their poor performances. But nothing gets said about the manager who consistently starts them over our record signing, and our golden boot winning striker. So fans are basically complaining towards thin air.
If fans were REALLY eager to see a front three of Saka, Aubameyang and Pepe, they would vent their frustration towards the manager who only played this front-three ONCE this season (in the second half against Sheffield United)... but we have to trust the process.
3.) Arsenal fans at the moment are desperate to see Saliba play. But act completely oblivious to the fact that it was Arteta who left him out of the Europa league squad, and that it’s Arteta who won’t give him game time in the league. So again, no one is accountable for anything.
If fans were so desperate to see Saliba play games as they claim, they would surely vent their frustration at the manager who isn’t even including him in Carabao cup squads. But Arteta gets no blame and therefore no one gets blame
4.) This season, particularly at home, we’ve struggled to build up against teams that are more compact against us. The likes of Ceballos and Xhaka get a lot of blame for this, and they’re also responsible to an extent
But Ceballos is the same player that fans used to help give the summer transfer window a 9/10, and Xhaka is ‘crucial’ to our team and still considered by many to be our second best midfielder. Remember, we’ve established that Kroenke apparently ‘invested well into Arsenal’
So actually, fans are just ‘blaming’ Xhaka and Ceballos to cover up for the manager who hasn’t shown a style of play since he arrived. So actually, no one is getting any blame.
5.) Away from home, we usually have the ball much less, and park the bus. Fans keep saying we have to play defensive because we haven’t got the players to play expansive football ..... (I think you know where I’m going with this💀)
... so the same players who Kroenke is investing in, the same players that meant we apparently had a 8/10 transfer window, the ‘important’ Xhaka, the ‘improving’ Bellerin, are now not good enough to show that we have a style of play
Again, no one is actually getting blamed for anything. Because the players are still good enough to banter rival fans with, even though we can’t play Arteta’s ‘style’ with them. And Arteta is so good his ‘style’ is too much for these players so he’s ‘forced’ to park the bus💀😂
6.) Guendouzi.

Guendouzi before Arteta arrived was seen as the very promising, young Golden boy amongst the fans. Even after the Brighton incident, fans still backed Guendouzi to the point they became obsessed with seeing Maupay fail.
All of a sudden, Arteta freezes Guendouzi out of the team, ships him on loan to Hertha Berlin, and nothing gets said. In fact, fans try to justify that Guendouzi had a bad attitude.. but When Arteta was still starting Guendouzi, fans said his attitude was a ‘winning’ attitude 🤥
Now, fans are praising everything Guendouzi does on loan, because it seems that the players we have in midfield aren’t actually as good as fans made out before. But still, nothing gets said about the manager who sent him out on loan in the first place. No one gets blamed
7.) Joe Willock.

Willock looked good in his last two Europa League games, and fans are looking forward to seeing him in the PL squads especially considering that our midfield isn’t very inspiring right now.
Fans aren’t happy that he hasn’t been included in the last two PL squads after his MOTM. But it doesn’t matter how frustrated fans make out to be, if they’re not frustrated enough to stick it on the manager who won’t give him a chance, they’re not really frustrated at all.
8.) Mustafi.

Mustafi’s last game was against Leicester when he received a lot of blame for their goal. But nothing was said in January when Arteta openly said that Mustafi has a future at Arsenal. Nothing gets said about ‘Don Edu’ who offered him a new contract.
Again, if you really think Mustafi is a problem at Arsenal, you would vent frustration at the people responsible for keeping him here. If the idea of Tierney having to quarantine really scares you, you would stick it on the board for not getting the Kolasinac deal over the line
If Willian as player really frustrates you, at some point you would vent that frustration towards the people who only signed him to save Kroenke money.
9.) Mesut Ozil

Since Emery joined, Ozil has been in and out of the squad, more so in Emery’s second season. Fans’ urgency to see Ozil play is why they vented frustration towards Emery (i didn’t personally agree with that, but at least fans blamed the person who dropped him)
After Lockdown under Arteta, Ozil hasn’t played a game and is officially not in any of our competitive squads. Surely fans would be more frustrated than they were under Emery?
If you think the Ozil situation is political, surely you would stick it on the board (the likes of Edu and Vinai) who are responsible for Ozil not being in the squad.
But with the Ozil situation, fans act like the board are just an invisible force that have nothing to do with it.
So fans want to be annoyed that Ozil isn’t in the squad, and annoyed about how Arsenal handled the situation with China, but they still want Don Edu to be ‘Don Edu.’ So actually, fans don’t really care about what they’re supposedly upset about... no one gets any blame.
This is a serious problem at Arsenal. If you’re really serious about seeing Arsenal progress, surely you wouldn’t tolerate anything that is stopping us from progressing. But at Arsenal, it’s not about seeing us progress, it’s just about who you like and who you don’t like.
Fans say ‘Kroenke out,’ they say “the board are clowns”, they say “these players aren’t good enough.” But when you actually break it down, fans haven’t got a problem with any of the players, board, manager, or owner. So nobody is responsible for ANYTHING at all.
Because the people that actually have a problem with what Kroenke is doing, the ones who’ve actually had enough of the board and the players, are labelled as negative by the fans who just use ‘kroenke out’ as a cute little hashtag
So Arsenal can continue in free-fall and all that’s left to blame is VAR. All of a sudden, 17 seasons without a title very easily becomes 30. We’re actually following the ‘Liverpool model’ by becoming victims and history merchants who take no responsibility for their own downfall
If there’s no Arsenal without the fans, surely the fans also have an impact on the success of the club. Surely, an owner who said that he didn’t buy arsenal to win trophies, won’t even consider showing ambition if Arsenal fans won’t do the same.
A club is a reflection of its fanbase. If you want to be the most successful club, if you want to see Arsenal be the very best, have a look at the most successful teams over the years and you’ll see a correlation between their club and the standards its fanbase set.
I hope this thread raised a lot of awareness.
