Pennsylvania COVID hospitalizations now well past their pandemic peak last Spring. PA also reported more than 100 deaths for the third straight day.

Given our new case numbers show no sign of letting up, this will get absolutely get worse before it gets better. (1/7)
Do yourself a favor and don't tempt getting this. We are seeing hospital employees increasingly sick as our COVID census is increasing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out less staff and more cases isn't a good formula for adequate and efficient care. (2/7)
This doesn't even take into account non COVID illness. It's quite difficult to have your acutely inflamed appendix removed if OR staff is inadequate. No, we're not there yet but you can see how that might happen on the current trajectory. (3/7)
That being said, if you choose to have indoor get togethers outside of those in your immediate household, whether for the holidays or a just few drinks, or for sporting practices or events... (4/7)
be aware that if someone in your household or close to you gets sick enough to be hospitalized, our resources are beginning to be stretched thin and care will eventually be compromised. (5/7)
This has always been the fear and why the need to keep things in check was paramount. Unfortunately that time has passed and now we must endure what's ahead of us. (6/7)
