Higgy will always be one of my favourite Thistle players, so here is top ten Higgy moments for Thistle imo a thread
10- 2013/14 goal vs St Mirren - This was Higgy’s first goal for the club having had two debut goals chopped off a few weeks before. A really nice striker that was a sign of things to come from him
9- 2013/14 free kick vs Kilmarnock - This was a crucial 3 points in this season that went towards us staying up, another game Higgy dragged us back into as we came from behind to win. With Higgy scoring the equaliser and getting the assist for the winner
8-2013/14 goal vs Kilmarnock - Having already scored an overhead kick for Motherwell the season before he decided to do it again, may not have been as impressive as his first but was still a memorable goal
7-2014/15 goal vs Inverness - While this was season was clearly the worse of the two Higgy spent at the club after never really being the same player after his injury away at Rugby Park this was still a brilliant goal
6- 2013/14 goal vs hibs - One of Higgy’s best games for us, was instrumental in everything good about us that day, this goal sums up his performance, classy
5- 2013/14 Cross bar challenge - Unreal effort to hit the bar straight from kick off, would have been higher if it had gone in
4- 2013/14 Outside of the boot cross vs St Mirren - This assist is magic, what a cross this was. Higgy was just that player on the pitch who could create a moment of magic out of nothing. Brilliant
3- 2013/14 goal vs Motherwell - Higgy was absolutely unplayable this day, scored a double and got an assist as he single handedly tore apart Motherwell. We took him off in the 84th min leading 3-2 and we went on to lose 4-3, our winless run at Firpark remains to this day
2- 2014/15 goal vs Hamilton - I could watch this goal all day, one of my favourite ever Thistle goals, it was an unreal strike with the outside of his boot on the half volley. How we went to throw away this game after taking the lead with 5 to play is anyone’s guess
1- 2013/14 vs hearts - while this may not have been his best goal for us it’s his most memorable. The importance, the celebration, the memories everything about this goal is perfect. What a player Higgy was for us, especially in the second half of the 2013/14 season he was unreal
I really was hoping Higgy was retuning to us this summer but it never ended up happening, will always be one of the most memorable players I’ve watched in red and yellow
