Thought for the weekend:
1/ A lot has been said about the Trump administration speaking out against the scientific community and evidence when it comes to COVID, and how dangerous it’s proven to undermine the science data offered.

2/ Some on here have been hugely vocal in a campaign against all disciplines of science with regard to space, history, anthropology, archaeology, chemistry, physics etc...
It’s one thing to have ideas of how things work that may differ from what’s been written over decades and centuries or even millennia. But we start to tread on dangerous ground when we deliberately undermine everything we’ve learned from science by generalist claims of secrecy
4/ ... or hiding truth from the population, or whatever other new conspiracy theories are taking flight.
Attacking the scientific community for calling people charlatans many decades or centuries ago is simply amateurish at best, and shows a mindset of people who want control..

5/ ... but many of the wrongs of ages gone have been mostly corrected. What’s not ok in any shape or form is this deliberate subterfuge by a new rising crop who are so desperate to control their own narrative, that they will manipulate their audience into believing charlatans...
6/ ... are somehow a good thing, and should be looked up to as if they are some group of geniuses that have all the answers. The psychology used is trivial at best, yet so many people will by it because they sell you a great story. But charlatans are just that... charlatans...
7/ and people who create a cult-like mentality that promises you they will undo all the wrongs of those evil people who have controlled you since forever. The reality is, these people are exactly the controlling despots of society that they claim to stand against. Smart, but not.
8/ Science and history has in fact taught a lot. To deny its validity in our world, to attack it for being some mind-control operation, and to erode its credibility merely to serve the purpose of those wanting to do exactly what they pretend to fight against. If people stop...
9/ ... being afraid to think for themselves or to open their eyes to what’s actually happening right in front of them, they’d realise what’s being done to them. Not by science. Not by some group of people wanting to own you for centuries. But by a new age group seeing...
10/ ...an opportunity to destroy the very fabric of human history and culture, imperfect as it may be, and replace it with their own version that will not give the masses that longed for knowledge, but rather a manipulated version of whatever these people want to get in your head
11/ Charlatans are not people to be admired nor is being one something to aspire to. There are enough of them running a mock these days, we certainly don’t need to ordain them in to power. That’s insanity. It’s sheer blindness...
12/ They’re not just the snake oil merchants of yesterday or today. They’re also the oil these people peddle to get you to buy the shit they’re selling. I only hope people open their own eyes and see it for what it is. Or don’t, and feel free to flock like sheep to empty promises
