Okay so: a lot of social work is PRIORITIZING CRISES.
I’m not joking, in my job interview for my current job, they gave me like three shitty scenarios, and they’re like “which do you prioritize first”? And then also: what resources do you have to address the situation?

social work exam: You have four clients. One needs help with applying for food stamps. One has visible bruising. One says she’s going to kill somebody. One says she’s going to kill herself. One says he wants to hurt his kids.
Obviously, food stamps is last. Who to help first?

There isn’t always a good answer. You can’t save everyone. But you learn to gather more information to determine what crisis is MOST ACUTE.
We have multiple different crises occurring right now. We need to separate them. Which can we deal with later? Okay, crazy MAGA voters. Getting mad at Democrats. Okay fine, Kelly, getting mad at AOC.
What matters most? Georgia, right? This is what Dems should be focusing on, because this *we CAN* change. We cannot change Trump fucking flipping out and Republicans following him. Pelosi tried to fucking get rid of him, and it didn’t work in case we forgot!
Maybe some messaging could be better. But what messaging is getting drowned out by everything else? I mean, her *resources* are better spent doing other things at this point imo
