"If you bothered watching her interviews you'd know Sia tried her best to consult the autistic community & do good representation."

Sia in an interview, "I wanted to make Rain Man the musical, but with girls."

🙃
In case you're wondering, 'Rain Man' has been widely criticised by autistic advocates for setting back understanding of autism by a great deal. It's like the number one example used to describe bad representation. Anyone who spent time listening would know that.
I urge people to watch the interview if you have time - I feel genuinely sorry for Maddie, who seemed to voice her concerns about the role only to be assured by Sia.

She also said the consultation involved sending the *completed* film to *1* autism centre.
