Liquidity, Loyalty and Sentiment - A thread on how to help all three in one go:
Currently Football Index have a number of issues, but the most obvious are liquidity and trader sentiment.
As a 'matched bettor' of many years, I am constantly e-mailed offers from bookmakers to return to them with the promise of '50 free spins on a certain slot'.

The caveat to these free spins is that they have wagering requirements that have to be met in order for me to withdraw my winnings, (these can be 1x, 10x or 25x play through etc.)
I listened yesterday to some discussion around the idea of a rebate/buy back scheme for 'dead' holds in players that now have little to no value & that there is effectively, 'trapped money' in these holds. This is clearly a big issue and in theory is a good idea.
Another big issue is around customer sentiment. Traders that have deposited a large % of cash this year, (during a global pandemic) are feeling as if they have been let down by FI & have lost the most financially as a result of the constant tinkering of the mechanics.
* Wagering requirements - In order to ensure that the cash from the 'Buy Back Scheme' & 'Loyalty Rebate' does not leave the market quickly, state that the amount awarded most be turned over x5 or x10 before it can be withdrawn.
Alternatively, state that the bonus funds can't be withdrawn until a fixed date. This would then buy FI additional time to onboard MM's/LP's and provide a liquidity boost in the meantime.
The rebate scheme and freeing up of cash from dead holds will inject liquidity into the market.
Dedicated traders will feel that FI value their custom & the wagering requirements will ensure that this money has to be circulated around the platform, (thus increasing liquidity).
