things u should stop saying to an artist bcuz im tired of it - a thread
1. "omg ur oc looks exactly like [insert character]!" - ocs r rlly hard to make, stop comparing them to other characters, its annoying cuz most of the time the character ur comparing to the oc doesn't even look alike at all
2. "u should draw [insert character] more" - u cant tell us what to draw, we draw what we want, its up to the artist if they want to or not
3. "can u draw me for free?" - no, art takes a lot of time and effort
4. "ur not a real artist if u do digital art" - digital art is just as hard as traditional art cuz u have to learn how to use the program and its equally hard to find the proper materials
5. "art is so easy why r u complaining so much?" - it's not easy lol
6. "can i have free art?" - no, refer to no.3
7. "why does ur art look like that?" - this is so fucking rude??? if u have a problem on how we draw then just leave, i don't know why u have to tell someone that, thats just disrespectful
8. "ew / wtf? / lol " - dont comment these kinds of stuff on art posts cuz this is rlly harmful, i got some of these types of comments before and my anxiety sky rocketed to the roof
9. "u should draw more like [insert other artists]!" - we dont have to???? we're our own person, im sure they're a great artist but just cuz u like someones artstyle doesn't mean everyone else should draw like them
10. "can i commission u for free?" - the point of commissions is to gain money and it just ruins the whole point if ur just gonna ask for free, also refer to no.3
