Re: Priti Patel. The thing with bullies is, they're nearly always perfectly charming to those they consider as their equals. They can be nice. The truth of who they are comes out when they think the other person doesn't have any power, or is otherwise unable to challenge them.

I want to add that the thing is, the niceness they exhibit can be in its way genuine. If a bully thinks you are important/worthwhile, they can be really okay with you. You can like them. I do not believe it's adequate to just say it's 'not real'. Both parts are real.
