I think we all know this, but just a reminder (spurred by a convo I'm having right now), about why we can't sleep on what's Giuliani and them are doing, or on local GOP wins, or court packing, or any of it...
So the goal - spoken in some rooms I'm sure, unspoken in others - is to slow that down as much as possible (fighting immigration) and putting fail safes in place to ensure that white people (men) will stay in control even once they represent a minority population of the nation.
Things like challenging an entire city of Black voters in Michigan is even more sinister than the rampant voter disenfranchisement they've been on since 2010, because if they can simply vacate Black votes, how long before we lose the rest of our rights altogether in some states?
McConnell has shaped the state courts in a manner that will hold for about 30 more years.

And he's reshaped the Supreme Court for at least 20 years.
Right before Barrett's confirmation he said, "A lot of what we’ve done over the last four years will be undone sooner or later by the next election...They won’t be able to do much about this for a long time to come.”
They're at war with us while we're still pretending it's something more innocuous (and by "we're" I mean mostly white people). We still think certain things just CAN'T happen here. Meanwhile, they're already in motion.
So yeah, while we're infighting, we gotta also hit all cylinders to fight THEM. 25 years Isn't THAT long.
The first installment in the Bad Boys trilogy came out 25 years ago.
But what GOP has always been better about - whether it's effective or not - is planning for the long game. We need to be moving with the next 25 years in mind. Not just right now.
Let's get the senate first; that's not a foregone conclusion. And frankly, I don't see enough people outside of GA talking about it in terms of support instead of spectating. And Harris vs Graham in SC proved our OPINIONS don't matter, but money might. https://twitter.com/AngelEyesNYC/status/1329730709322420225?s=20
We can't count a single fucking chicken before shit hatches. Especially not re: local races.
Like, this SOUNDS sexy, but even if accomplished, it's not this simple. And it just sets our impatient asses up to claim the administration's not doing what they promised because it doesn't happen as quickly as we believed it should. https://twitter.com/AngelEyesNYC/status/1329730709322420225?s=20
Exactly. And if they lose GA this year, they know the rest of the south is on the way. Every battle we win is going to trigger some whole new angle of fight on their side (*points at Wayne County*). https://twitter.com/Endurance97/status/1329732288247197697?s=20
This long game is why ppl acting like 2016 didn't make a difference drove me mad (the courts), and why people still on that shit THIS year damn near gave me an aneurysm. Like for all the conspiracies people DO buy into, this shit is in PLAIN FCKING SIGHT, and folks are like "Eh"
