Hearing Corbynites talking about Labour Party members is an awful lot like hearing the dodgy leader of an American cult living in a shack in Idaho, complete with crazy stare and grimy vest, talk about his loyal followers.

NOTHING. OUTSIDE. THE MEMBERS. COUNTS. THEY. ARE. ALL.

Are these people aware that there are 66 million people in the UK who AREN'T members of the Labour Party? Little things like, er, the electorate just don't factor into their calculations, or are considered to be an unwelcome distraction from giving THE MEMBERS what they want

The membership of the Labour Party has always been of doubtful sanity in large part - I mean, joining a party & then spending Tuesday evenings in Brenda's sitting room discussing Anytown East branch's foreign policy is not a sign of mental balance. But nowadays it's off the scale

Even after Corbyn's loss, a massive chunk of the Labour Party's membership is of such howling, unhinged mental derangement, disturbance and decrepitude that most of them shouldn't be allowed out in public. Thank God for lockdown in a way

Yet the only political dynamic of the Labour Left is a feverish, hysterical appeal to the members. The members won't stand it, the members want this, the members think x, y, or z. NO-ONE CARES WHAT THE MEMBERS THINK. THEY'RE MENTAL, LITERALLY CERTIFIABLE

If we listened to the members, your 10 year old's lemonade stall would have been nationalised 'WITHOUT COMPENSATION', half the country would be in re-education camps, anyone earning more than £30k would be paying 190% marginal tax rate and Putin would have the UK nuclear codes

Most of them think that the world is run by a syndicate of Rupert Murdoch, the corpse of Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair, the Daily Mail, some random Rothschilds and I don't know, Lord Lucan and Sherga probably. I wouldn't trust them to run a bath

But all the Labour Left care about is control over the party, because commandeering the Labour brand is all that stands between them & being the TUSC guy who gets 4 votes, hasn't washed since 1979 and talks to himself in the corner. Power & governing aren't even on their radar
