I just... don't know where to even begin with this. It's Maddie Ziegler playing a grotesque pantomime of Autism because Sia couldn't fathom casting anyone but her in something for once. The trailer is full of the usual "she just sees the world differently" bollocks able people-
-use just to make themsleves feel less uncomfortable around autistic people. It frames that "seeing the world differently" as hallucinations/fantasies/delusions, which is just not what Autism is at all. This is disgusting on a fundamental level and needs to be scrapped.
Like, there are things Ziegler does in that trailer that people literally did to bully and harass me at school.
