1. Kendrick Lamar's Control Verse

On the Scape of modern Hip-Hop, the world was exploded by the early Kendrick Lamar. He spits out name calls of competition on the verse from J Cole to Jay Elec. This rejuvenated a spirit of competition in Hip Hop. A hunger for being the greatest
2. Outkast winning at Source Awards

During the 90s, it was the beef between the East and the West as both fight. A new spectator comes in as the South works.

"The South got something to say!"

That gives out the spotlight pavement for the South Coast from Outkast.
3. 2pac shot at Quad Studio

Just a day before his case of alleged rape, he was shot at Quad Studio. 5 times. He is somewhat still alive.

The aftermath happened as it ignited a beef for East and Coast and B.I.G. released Who Shot Ya? in a wrong time causing Hit Em Up.
4. N.W.A.

Public Enemy did the Political Rap earlier but N.W.A. strikes the world harder as it made the world introduced to censors and it shocked the government to the FBI. It puts the hood to the map. It became one ot the most influential record to be released.
5. Three6Mafia winning Oscar

I could've gone for Eminem winning Lose Yourself too but Three6Mafia is also legendary considering how Andre 3000 did say that the South got something to say and they truly did reaching the bar high until they won an Oscar for a Southern Rap track.

Age 17, from Brooklyn, New York, B.I.G. made a new wave for NY Hip-hop. Before, at a young age he would freestyle that proves how much potential he had. This would contribute to his career showing how talented he truly is.
8. Big L and Jay- Z freestyle

Big L's classic Harlem freestyle alongside Jay Z remains iconic. 10 minutes spazzing in one liners. This made him a legend knowing how much genius lines he produce off the dome. We could see this more with Jay Z especially in how he did with TBA.
9. Kanye West vs. 50 Cent

September 7, 2007. A year of competition. 50 Cent was untouchable and Kanye was a rising star. Both had competition to prove who can sell more.

In the end Kanye won with 957,000 units meanwhile 50 sold 691,000 units. Making it the most profitable beef.
10. Birth of Hip-Hop
DJ Kool Herc threw a back-to-school jam. During his set, he decided to do something different. Instead of playing the songs in full, he played only their instrumental sections, or “breaks”. Coke La Rock hyped up the crowd with mic. Hip Hop is born.
