some of the people who are on dominos ASS right now bc of this are seriously making me dysphoric as fuck.

some of us have fluctuating dysphoria, some of us have none at all. some of us want to pass and fully transition, and some of us donât want to pass or transition at all. every trans personâs experience with gender is different. everyoneâs will always be DIFFERENT.

saying this in a more straightforward way; domino does not hold any prejudice or hatred towards trans people. by definition & morals, he is not transphobic.
i hate this argument, but for this situation specifically- context matters. this could be EASILY misinterpreted as some random cis girl fetishizing trans men to someone who was just scrolling through the timeline, but take a moment to see who he actually is, and youâll see heâs+
just a transmasc whoâs ... making transmasc headcanons. he had a random thought/hc, and he worded it out poorly. this was literally a mistake. he didnât mean to be transphobic or offensive by it.
reiterating my point from before, him not meaning to be transphobic by it doesnât take away from what he said, but pinning someone as a transphobe or someone who fetishizes trans men (as a trans man) is too much. itâs gross, itâs weird, and, well.... transphobic.
enforcing that all trans men/male aligned transmascs NEED to pass in order to be âreal menâ is transphobic. androgynous trans men who are androgynous on purpose absolutely exist; same with feminine trans men.
i am a feminine trans man who does not pass and does not intend to fully transition. i am okay with my current state in terms of passing, expression/presentation, etc, and i am extremely hurt by the people who are insinuating that trans men need to be masculine to be valid.
criticize transphobic comments & microaggressions while being careful and acknowledging that there are people in your community who could be hurt by your own microaggressions ; you can criticize dominoâs comment without invalidating gnc trans people.
