"Massacre in Korea", by Pablo Picasso (1951)

I can't explain in words the impact this painting had on me when I first saw it.

Thread 👇:
A group of US soldiers presented as emotionless and cold-blooded robots with helmets on and weapons, perfectly dehumanized by Picasso to condemn their soulless atrocities.
Meanwhile, the victims of this massacre: all women and children, totally naked for helpless and humiliated.

From left to right: A pregnant woman hugging her frightened child; a woman with her baby in her arms; other women totally feelingless and waiting for death;
A child running terrified toward his mother and a little boy playing with mud without knowing what was going to happen (heartbreakingly innocent 💔)
Picasso's most famous painting, "Guernica", also speaks of war: horror and despair after a bombing.

Unlike "Massacre in Korea," which has history background, "Guernica" is more symbolic, implying wars are catastrophic and apocalyptic anywhere.
"No, the painting is not made to decorate the rooms. It is an offensive and defensive instrument of war against the enemy."

By Pablo Picasso
And this is not art, it's reality.

If you think the scene in the painting is terrible, the reality only could be worse.👇
But did these "people" feel sorry for their inhumane atrocities?

Here's the answer. 👇
And finally, please let us heal the world together 🙏❤️🌏🌍🌎
