Some folks pushing back in the replies are saying "it's only minimal fringe of the academic left" but even that cedes too much. It's just not recognizable. A whole fiction drawn from selective quotations taken maliciously out of context.

Not so long ago I assumed that there must be a kernel of truth to this charge. I started reading feminists and Black scholars, just some of the names that people seemed to be talking about. Even a shallow dive into this literature is enough to explode the "antirational" calumny.
