Just had a super lovely exchange in an online COVID physician group with a colleague thanking and checking in on some of us with heavy COVID responsibilities (both formal roles and volunteer roles stepping “out” and trying to promote good information... she identified ...
that making decisions, trying to help steer through this is a heavy responsibility, and hoped we had support. And so many stepping forward feel this weight, and get some nasty blowback honestly (and I’m not even an MOH!)... but this pandemic, which is stressing EVERYTHING...

...stands to be our Great War, a history shaping cataclysm with a distinct change in the world “before and after,” a massive battle against TWO invisible enemies: SARSCoV2 and politicized misinformation.
And once the virus is subdued, we still have to keep fighting the other.
