So as many of you know,I'm helping my 11 yr old granddaughter with at home learning.
I have the grade 6 Canadian curriculum book to use for guidance as she is rarely provided in class assignments, online .
Anyways ,after hours working on math ,both she and I needed a break ...

I thought ok ,let's flip through the book and find something fun or at of interest to her ,to work on .
I find in the social studies section ..NGO's
So I think ya ,this is it .
Two were listed with background(history) ,goals etc ..
Doctors without borders and #WE charity ...

WE has special significance to my granddaughter ,as she was chosen to be on the
ME to WE committee in her elementary school last year.
The two of us were like wow ,imagine it was only a year ago ,she and her fellow committee members were devising fundraisers and educating ...

their peers on what WE was all about ..empowering youth to know, together, they can make a difference in the lives of others without the opportunities they have ,including attending school
To explain why they chose to support and raise $ for the things they did...

Then we look at each other ,pain and anger on our faces
Knowing things will never be the same ..
that the highlight of my granddaughter's school career so far ,won't be available to another young ,socially engaged ,student leader .
And for what ..bogus scandal CPC NDP poll bumps

So having said all that ,in my long-winded way 
A reminder of what the opposition parties were so willing and some even eager to destroy.
