Recently, a close friend asked me to estimate the proportion of elite-level FS coaches who have been (and, in many cases, still are) emotionally, physically and/or sexually abusive.

My response: at least 90%.

As each day passes, I just become more confident in my estimation. I can't tell if hearing these stories is more saddening or infuriating. What I do know is that these stories need to be told in order to combat the culture of abuse and to cultivate a safe environment for athletes
