It’s not anyone’s fault but your own if you’re the kind of journalist who defended or promoted Rudy Giuliani before & during his mayoralty because you benefited from his vision of a New York that brutalized your black and brown neighbors until they weren’t your neighbors anymore.
Rudy Giuliani was a media creation. The NYC media portrayed him as an incorrigible but righteous force to overcome all that... blight... facing New York, & you were supposed to understand that the blight were Those People and the city They wanted. I was a teen & saw it happen.
