As these attacks go, they usually start with a veiled jab at Sen. Booker being a vegan (who cares), and insinuate some sort of nefarious vegan coup. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but Joe Maxwell raises sheep, hogs, and cattle for meat and SUPPORTS the FSRA
Next, @FarmActionOrg is fighting racial injustice in the food system and we're damn proud of it. It's a problem and it's perpetrated by big ag. See below for one of thousands of examples: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3672924/
It turns out that the "system" we are supposedly trying to destroy, well, it's only been around for about ~30 years and you can bet your ass we would rather see more farmers in our rural communities raising and growing food for their neighbors.
One weird point he tries to make is how proud is he is about buying his beef locally from a local producer who raised, butchered, and sold him his beef. That's, ummm, what we want.
Nowhere does he mention that the FSRA includes a fund to get farmers' animals out of corp. controlled CAFOs and back onto pasture where animals belong and doesn't say squat about what they can raise. An oversight? Doubtful.
He even points to how dependent we are on the Cargills, Tysons, & other monopolies. This is, like, the whole problem and he makes the argument for us!
Big Ag doesn't care about your communities, your neighbors, its workers, or you personally. They care about their bottom line. Here is just one of many sad examples: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tyson-foods-lawsuit-managers-john-casey-tom-hart-bet-money-covid-19-employees/

The FSRA is one is a step in the right direction and if you, like me, believe America should have more farmers raising meat and produce to feed their communities then go ahead and pitch a few bucks at @FarmActionOrg & @FarmActionUS
