This is a thread of heroic, badass, Nazi killin' women & girls; inspired by & in honor of my own family history, & the Jews & Slavs who suffered, struggled, fought, & ultimately WON against fascism.

1• Lepa Svetozara Radić
Lepa was a Yugoslav Partisan of Serb origin who was awarded the Order of the People's Hero in 1951 for her role in the resistance movement against the Axis powers in World War II—becoming the youngest recipient at the time. She was executed at age17 for shooting at German troops.
2 • Yelena Mazanik

Yelena was the Soviet partisan primarily responsible for the assassination of General-Kommissar of Nazi-occupied Belarus Wilhelm Kube by placing a small timebomb under his bed while working for him as a housemaid.
3 • Masha Bruskina

Masha was a Belarusian Jewish nurse and a member of the Minsk Resistance during World War II. While volunteering as a nurse, she cared for Soviet forces, and assisted them in escaping. For this, she was executed by German forces.

4 • Zinaida Portnova

After learning the use of weapons and explosives, she participated in raids and sabotage operations against power plants, pumps, and a brick factory in the vicinity of Vitebsk, during which an estimated 100 German soldiers were killed.
1943; she got a job in a kitchen that served the German garrison of Obol, & poisoned the food.
Fleeing Obol, she joined another partisan unit & served as its scout. In late 1943 contact was lost with the Obol partisans & Zinaida was infiltrated back into the city to investigate.
She was captured almost immediately, but she managed to grab a pistol that her German interrogator had carelessly left lying atop his desk and shot him to death, as well as two guards who came rushing in upon hearing the gunshots.
She escaped the building, but was eventually tracked down and captured, after which she was tortured and executed on January 15th, 1944, aged 17.
(This picture contains some information I already gave, & I'm not sure it's her in the picture, but the information is accurate)
Can ppl see the last tweet? It was acting strange when I posted it, & it's the only tweet in the thread w/no *likes*. If someone would be so kind as to like it for me (the one w/a photo that might not be her, & w/writing next to it & says she was awarded Hero of the Soviet Union)
Thank you @FullCommie !😁👍🏼🍻
