I had insomnia growing up & often stayed up till 3 AM watching music videos. @bjork's "Army of Me" came on one night with that surreal dark world juxtaposed w/ the fierceness of Bjork + her biting lyrics. I wanted to be just like her & little me went out to buy her whole discog.
Thanks to the guy who worked at CBGB's in the @SurfBallroom in Clear Lake, IA who gave me a great price on her used discog and kindly corrected my pronunciation of her name without my preteen anxiety overtaking my brain.
