Let's just start by saying that #ThanksgivingDay is awesome! One of the few things protestants got right!

1. #Thanksgiving is meaningless without God.
Who exactly are you thanking, and why?
It makes no sense at all without God in your life. The entire day is supposed to be a holy day (holiday) dedicated to thanking God for all the good gifts He gives us

2. #Thanksgiving2020 is the 3rd form of prayer that we owe to God. They are:
Adoration - worshipping God and His majesty
Contrition - Repentance for our sins
#Thanksgiving - For His many blessings
Supplication - Asking Him for our needs and wants
Remember it as ACTS

3. Notice that supplication is last. The ACTS prayers are ordered in their importance and what our focus should be
Adore God first, repent second, thank third, and FINALLY ask.

4. Remember that the word #Eucharist literally means #Thanksgiving
We give thanks AND adoration to God by His gift to us of Himself in the sacrament of Holy Communion
Attending Mass is an excellent way to start off your #ThanksgivingDay
