Everyone else: have a listen! I have a slightly different take, but I agree w Sam that almost everyone in our space is failing to thread this needle given the dangers. I think we disagree principally on the relative weight of systemic vs idiosyncratic corruption of reality.

I believe for The US and coalition to have entered Iraq claiming WMD as casus belli required systemic corruption of standards: Data. Intelligence. PR. Briefings. Procedures..

I‘m not sure I get the idea that the newspaper honored to start the #1619Riots is better than Breitbart.

So...yes Trump has inured us to bullshit, braggadocio and flouting of our norms. He was after all hired as *poison* to kill the swamp creatures.

But did we prefer W who had the decency to get Colin Powell and other adults to tell us we needed to invade Iraq? And if so: why?

So I agree with Sam that Trump is extremely reckless and dangerous to us all here. But the danger of “The Grownups” coming back to us to *lie* about everything in a methodically focus-grouped & A/B tested manner with coiffed presentation & slick sloganeering strikes me as grave.

I may choose to record something at length to dig into this.

But I‘d give a listen to Sam here. Eventually Thing 1 and Thing 2 have to leave the house with the Cat in the MAGA hat. And this crazy “adventure” will need to end so that we can find out what happens next.
