On school leaders: an observation. We are conditioned to be hierarchical in our thinking. For years found the concept of working with school leaders admirable, distant and a bit intimidating. Having worked recently with wonderful colleagues at @NAHTnews, I have realised 1/
1. They too are humans first, leaders second.
2. They are the kinds of people willing to engage in evening seminars to understand how to better support their colleagues.
3. We need to be as stern if not sterner in messages like this than with new teachers. @drkarenedge

4. Healthy boundaries of responsibility are key - our leaders cannot be held responsible for all elements of our wellbeing.
5. School leaders need a hug/chocolate/fresh air/a break/a bit of understanding as much as the rest of us. 3/3
