THREAD: Delusions can be infectious. When a pathologically compromised person is in a position of power, with the tools needed to drive false narratives, gaslight, and manipulate, he creates spread. Unaffected people follow facts and evidence. Affected people become resistant.

Why are so many resistant? Because they are naturally driven to believe what they wish to believe. This spread is known by many names - you can call it Trumpism or "cult," or you can use the more clinical "Malignant Normality," or in this case "Collective Narcissism."

Collective Narcissism is a societal phenomenon. The fact that it exists, is immutable. Also immutable is that the source - or leader - will always get progressively more extreme. We cannot, as a society, continue to deny or minimize pathological illness, or its infectious power.
