Today is the @detroitshoreway annual benefit so I'm going to share some of what gives me #DetroitShorewayPride
I'm proud of the resilient, creative businesses I get to work with every day. Their owners and staff are some of the most caring people you will meet and they love this community. #DetroitShorewayPride

I'm proud of the assistance we've provided this year. During the shut down Banter and Gypsy Bean and Ninja City gave out free meals. They saw a need and they filled it. That inspired us to apply for a grant from @CleveFoundation #DetroitShorewayPride
We used the @CleveFoundation grant to pay local businesses to prepare amazing meals. @DetroitShoreway provided over 8,000 meals and at the same time we connected residents to resources, gave them masks, and helped them complete the census & register to vote #DetroitShorewayPride
We asked for help crowdfunding relief grants for businesses in @DetroitShoreway. With a matching grant from a local donor I am proud that we gave over $50k in grants to more than two dozen businesses (many are on this great poster in my WFH office!) #DetroitShorewayPride
