Hi, it's Anah! As some of you may have noticed, my tweets and posts have had a theme of race. This is because Racial Inequality is an issue I'm very passionate about, particularly as a Sri Lankan Muslim living in the UK, it's crazy to me how people can still be so closed-minded.
What's even crazier is how few people are aware of racism within the UK and how it affects so many aspects of society, which is why I want to raise awareness. #PowerOfYouth #DemsocNext10 #iwillWeek
I'm also a member of the WS Youth Cabinet @WSYourSpace which has opened my eyes to more injustice but more importantly, what we can do about it. I've taken part in the YC Racial Inequality Webinars and today 6-8 will be doing an opening statement for the Racial Inequality Debate
28 WSCC cabinet members, 3 MPs, the High Sheriff and several senior managers from WSCC will be in attendance so I'm very excited and hope to share some reflections :))
