@CBCNews should we call you TMZ Canada now? Let me fix @AshleyBurkeCBC 's news headline for you. "BREAKING: People meet at work, fall in love, get married, and continue working." Unless you believe it is outrageous for a woman to continue her career despite getting married?

@AshleyBurkeCBC incredibly poor journalism on your end. You could have simply checked my LinkedIn account to realize I have been on Parliament Hill since 2008, and quick google search shows I married the love of my life, Pierre Poilievre on December 31st, 2017.

But hey since you, @AshleyBurkeCBC, and TMZ @CBCNews seem to be interested in my life, let me help you a little. My family immigrated to Canada (Montreal) in 1995. I moved on my own to Ottawa in 2006. I didn't know anyone and did NOT speak English back then.

I put myself through university with a 40k student loan. I applied for a job in the Senate, and after a rigorous interview process through Senate Human Resources, I got a one-month contract with Independent Senator Marcel Prud'homme. I worked really hard & he renewed my contract.

Since then, I have worked for numerous Senators and moved up. I worked for the Govt. Whip in the Senate and the Leader in the Senate. ALL PRIOR to my marriage to Pierre Poilievre.

I have been working with MP Cooper since he first got elected (2015). At the time, I already had 7 years of Parliamentary experience. I am proud of working for him. He is a hard working MP and a great employer.

@CBCNews and @AshleyBurkeCBC feel free to report on any of this. I am darn PROUD of being a self-made strong woman and a successful immigrant story. If you wish to know more about me, ask ME. Cheers!
