1. Swapping indoor air with people with whom we do not live is avoidable for a lot of us for the next several weeks. It doesn’t take a politician to mandate it. It takes a little foresight and some adjustments to our everyday lives. Fight pandemic fatigue. Don’t give in to anger.
2. Exponential growth of the Coronavirus is here. To slow the forest fire and avoid overwhelming the hospitals we need to create some firebreaks. That doesn’t mean we lockdown. But we absolutely should take personal responsibility and avoid indoor gatherings.
3. This is the most dangerous moment in public health since 1918. If we give into fatigue, or worse yet anger, December and January will be unimaginably bad. But WE have the power and choice to avoid overwhelming our hospitals.
4. In this battle there is no Us versus Them. It’s us versus the virus. The folks who voted for the other guy are not the enemy. The damn virus is.

The most significant way we can reduce the transmission of the virus is make personal changes.
5. Vaccines are on the horizon. If we slow the spread of the virus these next few weeks, the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight. But don’t look to or wait for a political solution. YOU are the solution.
