Some people aren’t gonna like this tweet, but it’s what we’re all thinking.

In 2020, it seems everyone

is a “founder”
runs a podcast
is a “brand”
has a merch line
is working on a “book”
lives a lavish lifestyle
etc.

There are people doing these things with quality.

But few.
There are only a handful of things that I think I’m exceptionally good at.

That includes promoting & marketing, building relationships, and noticing tons of micro trends while putting that into perspective on a macro scale.

Here’s what I think will happen in the next few yrs.
A lot of these brands, podcasts, merch lines, online courses, etc. will oversaturate each of their respective markets so much, that the general population of consumers will become more and more selective with who they trust/buy from/ use their services, etc.
I’ve seen this in the entertainment space.

I’ve seen it in the content creator space.

I’ve seen it in the podcasting industry.

I’m seeing it in the publishing community.

People are becoming more and selective with where they allocate their time and resources.
And after studying tons of successful people for my book, the best ways to stand out are:

- out-innovate your competitor
- build long lasting trust with your core audience
- build unmatched quality
- be consistent over extended periods of time while you’re competitors die out
