Actors/artists: Don’t let anyone tell you what you’re worth.
Do your homework, stick to your guns, and have faith in the process.
I’ve had people I once trusted tell me and others (behind my back) that maybe I’m not as good as I think, that I’m a cocky talentless actor, etc.

Why let others get a word in on how you should see yourself as though they’re somehow an accurate barometer of talent and potential? @RyanBartley wisely told me “If I’m not paying them for their opinion, why should I care what they have to say? Why should their opinion matter?”
Yo, this field and life is already tough enough as it is; no one needs extra help being put down. Also, if you hang around those people, you may find yourself doing that to others as well. Break the cycle, avoid the drama, and become a healthier person to be around. Be kind.
And if you have to vent about a negative experience, do that with people OUTSIDE of the industry. Don’t be reckless with other artists’/actors’ reputations the same way you wouldn’t want anyone taking petty BS & have it blow up in your face. Just go diversify your friend group.
@KaijiTang once told me success is the best revenge. Get so ANNOYINGLY successful & good at what you do that their words fade and they’ll be 1 step closer to confronting the real problem: themselves.
Let your grind speak on your behalf.
They’ll be sorry they ever slept on you.
