Hoping to share some tips and tricks for primary grade zooming ✨
Ok 1st tip.. SING! 🎤Here we are practicing their sight words with Heidi Songs. I share my whiteboard on zoom, they practice writing on whiteboards and singing and then we share! Takes about 5 minutes all together for our 7 sight words and such good interactive practice ✨🎉
Tip 2.. use boom cards and whiteboards! We had to work up to being able to flip our whiteboards and not unmute to say the answer (one is still working hehe) but this is a great way to keep the learning interactive! 🎉
Tip 3.. model model model and then bring them in! We completed 4 before this problem so they knew the order and outcome we wanted to get too! Also- involve others! I love having them shoot ten second fireworks or spotlights at classmates 🎉
Tip 4.. use piano music (currently we are jamming to Frozen 2) to indicate when it is working time for your students!
Tip 5.. use a fun prop like a microphone! I love mine so much.. 😍
Tip 6 Use a this or that question as a warmup for small groups! I change the pictures daily. This accomplishes two things .. 1 is that it gives my students a minute or two or log in and two it’s great practice for the K’s to explain their answer with the magic word ✨because✨
Tip 7.. organize a pickup of worksheet or supplies! We host a monthly one where parents swing by the school and grab a bag of copies for the month. Helps to make our zooms interactive and FUN! Also rhymes for absolutely everything💛
Tip 8 is my set up.. these tech tools make it allllll possible! 👏🏼
✨Tips and tricks day 2 coming at you! ✨
