(2/8) Did you know? Teenagers go through grief, too!
That might seem obvious, but it's actually something that a lot of people don't know.
EVERYONE goes through grief. It doesn't matter what age or gender they are - everyone experiences it.

(3/8) Grief is overwhelming and confusing.
We teens already experience a many complex emotions, so adding grief to that is hard.
We won't know what we're feeling, why, or how to cope with it in a healthy way.

(4/8) Teen grief is lonely.
Many teens don't go through grief, and know very little about it. While they may care about grieving friends, they may not know how to support them.
This makes teen grievers feel alone.

(5/8) It's okay to talk about the person who died!
Having no one talk about my dad made me feel like no one else remembered him.
It's okay to ask questions, share memories, and just acknowledge that they existed!

(6/8) It can be hard to admit that we’re not okay.
Many teens feel the need to "be strong," which is often associated with being silent. It takes time for us to reach out.
If you think a teen is struggling, share this:

(7/8) Please reach out, even if you don’t know what to say.
There's this misconception that you have to say the "perfect" thing to a griever. In reality, you just have to say SOMETHING.
"I'm sorry" is better than silence.
