I’m so tired of people using the disabled and chronically ill communities as a crutch to say that we shouldn’t judge people for not wearing masks.
I understand that there are absolutely invisible illnesses/disabilities and that I have no idea what someone may be suffering with - absolutely. Additionally no one owes anyone their diagnosis.
But I don’t know of a single chronically ill or disabled person who doesn’t wear a mask - despite having every ability to be exempt by their doctor.
Stop using our communities so you can fear monger people out of holding you accountable. Most disabled/chronically ill people understand the reality of this virus and will do everything in their power to keep vulnerable people safe.
