Guys ... this is not how it works. I understand that the Trump campaign is behaving undemocratically but their attempt at refusing to certify in Wayne County was a long shot at best. And there's ... kinda a crucial misunderstanding of how Presidential selection happens. https://twitter.com/DeanObeidallah/status/1329395945705005062
Firstly, the Wayne County vote has been certified. Yes, Republicans were jerks and tried to disenfranchise specifically Black voters in a really overt and shameless manner, but they were basically told off.
The state legislature even said they wouldn't have approved of this shenanigans and if they had the governor would not have. EVEN IF two different EC vote lists had been sent to Congress they are compiled by law by the S.O.S and the gubernatorial tally is preferenced.
The closest the Republicans could have come to a victory in this case would have been to have the Michigan votes discarded.

But:

306-16=290
290>270

Joe Biden still wins. The GOP would have had to overturn an additional 21 EC votes for it to make a difference.
And yes, I know they're trying particularly in PA which is worth 20 and that's not irrelevant ... Dems shouldn't roll over and play dead ... but

a) the Biden Harris/Dem team knew this would happen and have lawyers for this purpose

b) this is Trump's favorite lawyer in court:
Also no, the House absolutely will NOT choose Trump as President particularly not on January 6th. That's not how any of this works. I'll go through it, but you may find this thing I wrote relevant: https://ariadneschulz.medium.com/what-happens-in-an-american-election-64cfc2a531fe
Each of the states certify their own vote per deadlines some of which have already passed and their electors will submit their votes on Dec. 14th. https://ballotpedia.org/Election_results_certification_dates,_2020
You will note all those deadlines fall before Dec. 8th because that's the safe harbor deadline per 3 U.S. Code § 5

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/3/5
What happens on January 6th is a JOINT session of Congress assembles to tally the votes together. There's rules, oversight from both Parties and both Houses of Congress, and they must continue until they run out of Electoral College votes to count.
Y'all can read 3 U.S. Code § 15 for yourself but basically at this point on Jan. 6 they are just tallying the votes. They are not themselves voting and they cannot even object unless they have an actual reason to do so. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/3/15
This process continues until someone reaches a tally of 270 EC votes. If Congress stays at this for 5 days they stop getting recesses. Again, they don't get to change the votes. During this process on January 6th the only person who can win is Biden.
Let me just repeat this. On January 6th after 1pm if Congress is able to complete it's Electoral College tally the only plausible winner is Biden.
For Trump to still win the Presidency at this point either 37 Democratic EC voters would have to not only be faithless electors but specifically vote for Trump OR the joint session of Congress would have to throw out multiple states worth of votes.
Both of these is unlikely to the highest degree. Democrats are not going to elect a criminal who was never elected in the first place particularly against the wishes of both the general electorate and their own Party and while I don't doubt Republicans ...
... will raise objections, it is highly unlikely they'll be able to get rid of 2 states. If they controlled both Houses of Congress and there was no oversight from the Democratic Leadership then *maybe* they could do this, but under the laws which exist it's virtually impossible.
What the OP is referring to is the 12th Amendment and ... yeah if it came to that they would vote by delegation and Trump would win. But that does not happen unless the joint session of Congress fails to reach a tally of 270 on or after January 6th.
And it's not like Republicans can run out the clock either. The clock runs out on debate and recesses, but it doesn't run out on the tally. Congress has to sit there until they've counted all the EC votes and ONLY if no candidate reaches 270 does the issue go to the House.
If this were a close election I'd be concerned, but Biden has both a clear electoral majority and a EC cushion of 36 votes. Dems should be concerned about the Republican agenda of eroding democracy and the American way of life (OH YEAH I WENT THERE) but not this.
Additionally, if the GOP actually does try to make this an epic misery-fest they're more likely to end up in a situation where Nancy Pelosi is temporary President. And while she would be a placeholder until someone qualifies neither you nor the GOP should think she'll be inactive
A temporary Pelosi Presidency wouldn't be as good as an actual elected Democrat, but she'd use her time well. Every executive order Trump's ever passed would be overturned, she'd get the COVID taskforce to work, and she'd have an acting cabinet cleaning things up.
For the country this would be great, but of course for Republicans and other anti-American organizations it's annoying because it undoes all their damage and means that while they're trying to get their own guy in they'll be trying to fight off Pelosi with more firepower.
Basically, once these state certifications go through at a state level the GOP have a choice of either accepting the result of a fair and free election or Nancy Pelosi with all the Super Mario Power Ups.
