/ The legislative branch established rules for the election which were blatantly ignored. Yes, the courts can address, but the legislative branch has both the power and the responsibility to address.
/ And there are serious allegations of fraud with evidence to back it up. Again, the legislative branch established the rules for voting to prevent fraud and should own the investigation into the fraud.
/ To be clear: I am not suggesting the legislative branch overturn the popular vote; I am demanding the legislative branch determine the tally IS THE POPULAR VOTE and based on its conclusion vote accordingly.
/ IF the legislative branch after an investigation "just can't tell," THAT is a huge problem: Our voting system should be such that allegations of fraud can be shown to be false & the tallies can be replicated.
/ If they "just can't tell," they have 3 options: Trump, Biden, neither. Even if the popular vote was illegitimate, ANY would be legitimate because the constitution gives them that authority. Electors for Biden, even if they conclude Trump won popular vote, would likewise
/ be legitimate because the constitution gave the legislative branch that sole power. BUT if they "just can't tell," the legislative branch needs to also remake the entire election system so they can tell in the future.
/8 Legislators won't want to own this because they will make enemies no matter what they decide. We need to demand they step up--and if they refuse THAT is a decision too. END
