Under the guise of 'anti bullying', same sex attraction has been erased and replaced with 'same gender' orientation. Lesbians can now be defined as male people with a penis. Lesbians who don't accept this are 'transphobic.' So much for 'anti bullying'.

Young people who don't conform to sex stereotypes are given a 'gender identity' model of understanding themselves which means a girl who is not 'feminine' must identify as Not a Girl. She becomes 'non-binary' or 'trans.' Otherwise she is 'cisgender' which means 'conforming.'

When sex is erased as the distinction between boys and girls all that's left is gender stereotypes. Also erased is the right to sexual boundaries and the safeguarding and protection of girls. All children must obey the new dictates of gender ideology or be called 'anti LGBT'.

This experiment has caused a lot of harm, not least to lesbian, gay, bi and gender non-conforming children. Homophobic bullying still needs to be tackled but this is not the way to do it. 'Anti bullying' aims are not achieved through coercion of beliefs and trampling on rights.

We would like to see a government investigation into the ideological capture that has resulted in gender dogma going into schools. After the repeal of Section 28 there were some excellent LGB anti-bullying resources (including from Stonewall). We need to go back and start again.
