2. We know that time dilation is a difference in elapsed time as measured by two clocks due to a relative velocity between them or to a difference in gravitational potential between their locations.

3. Now coming back to Bhagwat Purana Raivata the father of Revathi wanted the best groom for his daughter. He wanted to consult the best Jyotish(astrologer) for her marriage. Hence he went to lord Brahma.

4. Lord Brahma was indulging in a music concert. So Raivata waited patiently for Lord Brahma. After the concert ended Raivata approached Lord Brahma and told him about his daughter.

5. Lord Brahma told Ravivata that while he was waiting for few minutes in Brahmaloka 27 chaturyugas have passed in Bhooloka(earth). All men from his age have died. Also all his ministers, wives and countrymen have passed away.
For reference(1 chaturyuga=4.32 million years)

6. Brahma told him when he goes back there will be a man named Balarama with whom he can marry his daughter. Then Balarama married Revati

7. This shows that Ancient Indians knew that time can pass at a different pace in two given locations based on their relative velocity or difference in gravitational potential between them.
