A RANT: (1/6)
TW: explicit image sharing
If you won't/can't meet up with lads irl right away, they literally pressure you to send them images as if you have to as a way of apology. It's become completely normal for guys to feel comfortable enough to request them without a thought
(2/6)For women it becomes a back in forth in your mind wondering what is right or normal to do. Am I being too uptight, is this the normal way things are done, if I dont does that mean I'm eliminating my chances in modern dating. Then also if I do this, who will actually see this
(3/6) I've spoken to friends about how they take photos to HIDE any identifying features of themselves so they could AT LEAST have anominity. I've known guys that I find out have KEPT pictures of exes.
(4/6) So here's one fuckin thing. Once you end a relationship/conversation/flirtation/communication in any way, THE CONSENT ALSO LEAVES THE CHAT AND YOU CANNOT RETAIN ANY IMAGES GIVEN UNDER PREVIOUSLY HELD CONSENT.
(5/6) And no I won't give a pass to men who say "not all" because it's been enough of you fuckers to make women scared, pressured and commodified that it's more than clear to be a social issue in which women's complaints are just not listened to.
(6/6) If you won't be actively and loudly calling out ANY shitty behavior of other men then I don't want to know you. If you have ever heard of someone sharing or retaining images from a previous partner and said nothing, you might as well have shared the fucking image yourself.
