Over the summer @ucu campaigned for a fraction of the money the government have announced on military spending for education. That money would have kept everyone in secure employment, underwritten lost income, and not required students and staff to attend unsafe campuses.

It would have helped students learn in safe environments, and delivered stability to a sector that has been characterised by overwork, burnout, sickness, strife, and chaos.
